Linda Jones McKee - Wine East Editor

Linda Jones McKee

Wine East Editor

Linda Jones McKee has written about the grape and wine industry east of the Rockies since the early 1980s. A history major at Carleton College, McKee found the perfect job as editor of a small antiques magazine. When that publication folded, she changed her editorial focus to the wine and grape industry. Utilizing her skills in small magazine production, she and Hudson Cattell took an 8-page newsletter, the Pennsylvania Grape Letter and Wine News, changed it to magazine format, gave it a more user-friendly name–Wine East–and grew it into a major voice for the Eastern wine industry. In 2008 Wines & Vines acquired the magazine, and McKee has edited Wine East in Wines & Vines since then from her office in Lancaster, Pa.
