  PurovinoUS developed a process to use its ozone treatment on grapes to remove smoke and ash compounds from grape skins and juice. The company claims it performed recent field tests on more than 150 tons of grapes to determine how to remove smoke contamination and eradicate volatile phenols responsible for it.
  Sterokem introduced Sterox, a non-foaming, non-chlorine alkaline cleaning powder developed for use in the wine industry. Sterox is a multipurpose cleaning powder and not classified as a hazardous chemical. The supplier reports the powder has good solubility and can be used on processing equipment, fermentation tanks and to clean winery floors and walls.

The machine is available with multiple filling measuring devices including volumetric pump, Coriolis mass flow meter, magnetic flow meter, net weight scale, overflow nozzle and piston.
