  Falcon Crop Protection introduced FrightKites to deter birds from eating ripening grapes and other crops. The kites are designed to mimic the appearance and movement of a peregrine falcon to keep birds away from vineyards. According to the supplier, the kites can soar to as much as 65 feet in winds as little as 1 mph to 2 mph on a line tethered to a pole.
  General Steel is offering a variety of steel building kits designed to house small craft breweries or wineries. The company claims its kits can help lower the cost of entering the craft beverage industry. The kits include i-beams, secondary framing, wall sheeting, roof panels and all bolts and screws for assembly.
    Ertus Group’s winemaking software Process2Wine is now available in the United States. The French supplier has provided its software to 180 wineries in France and Canada and is now offering the cloud-based system to American wineries.
  Saelig Company, Inc., introduced the Sol Chip Comm SCC-S433 an autonomous, wireless, solar-driven module that powers, controls and wirelessly connects multiple sensors to a central computer via the cloud. The device can be installed remotely to support farm monitoring, irrigation control and other applications.
Tonnellerie Tremeaux is pleased to announce construction of a custom atelier designed to honor artisanal tradition and create an aspirational environment for skilled craftsmen. Once complete, Tonnellerie Tremeaux will move its barrel production from the current site to the new cooperage, still nestled in the heart of Beaune.
