  SparkleKlear is a closure designed to make producing sparkling wines easier. The SparkleKlear seals a bottle of base wine during secondary fermentation. When a bottle is ready for riddling, a user presses and releases a valve on the top of the cap and the collected sediment is shot out of the bottle.
  Wine-Searcher launched a data service for the wine trade. The company is offering price and location data in the wine industry based on consumer searches as well as where wine is sold and retail pricing. The company is offering three kinds of reports that include a demand and competitors report, winery or producer report and producer association report.
Bronco Wine Company has completed construction on a 150,000 square foot rail shipping facility at its winery in Cerres to support Bivio Logistics, the company’s logistics, consolidation and trucking service.

  A1 Mist Sprayers unveiled its new 60-gallon, PTO driven mist sprayer called the Terminator. The heavy duty sprayer can spray up to 80’ by 140’ and features a 15” riveted fan with chain and sprocket for 210° of rotation from right to left.
  Amcor partnered with Napa, Calif.-based VinPerfect to develop laser engraving as a decorative option for the company’s Stelvin line of capsules. The engraving can be as small as 50 microns and used to create detailed artwork or designs on the top of capsules.
  Douglas Machine introduced a film only conversion package to update existing packaging lines for shrink bundling. The company touts the system as a means to eliminate trays and pads while providing enhanced product stability.
